Perfect for high-volume printing, the Magicard Prima 4 offers edge-to-edge printing even on uneven cards. The reverse transfer card printing technology employed uses a YMCK dye film to print a reverse image which is laminated onto the card, ensuring both a superior picture and protection from scratches. You're also no longer stuck with just PVC the Prima 4 can print on PET, Polycarbonate, PVH and ABS too.

How does the Magicard Prima 4 ID Card Printer "reverse transfer" printing technology work? - High capacity YMCK dye film and with a separate re-transfer filmtogether provide up to 1000 HD color prints, both the dye film and re-transfer cartridges insert easily for user convenience and the Magicard Prima 4 unique portrait orientation lamination mode allows for fast operation.
An ID card image is then printed using the YMCK dye film onto a clear retransfer film applying the "reverse image" method. This process laminates the image onto the card surface, the image will be protected from weather, scratching or fading by a clear film layer. The inline lamination unit is user programmable, temapature and speed settings can be adjusted in the front panel dispaly for optimum results with printing different card types including: PVC, PVH, ABS, 100% PET and even polycarbonate.
