HID iCLASS SE Cards are the latest evolution in the line of HID contactless smart card offerings. Based on the tested and leading reliability of 13.56 MHz iCLASS card technologies, HID has built a new paradigm of data integrity and efficient operation by creating a solution that incorporates cutting-edge Secure Identity Object (SIO) technology to provide a smart card that sets new landmarks in the areas of security, versatility, and extensibility. The name iCLASS SE refers to the fact that these are iCLASS SIO-Enabled (SE = SIO-Enabled) cards.

Based on open standards, SIO offer a reliable and technology-independent ID card solution. It enhances protection of credential data and privacy by providing a multi-layered security approach, backed by 64-bit keys and advanced encryption algorithms to safeguard integrity during data transmission. SIO data binding provides extra security and prevents unauthorized card duplication and counterfeiting.

Because SIO technology supports a number of independent data objects, this allows any company to use the same physical card to perform multiple functions, including login information, physical access control, biometric data support, etc. This increases the versatility of this smart card solution, and makes it ideal for organizations where flexibility and scalability are prime concerns.

Integration of a single credential into a secure ecosystem of interoperable products and services is possible because the cards are also Trusted Identity Platform (TIP) enabled.

In order to satisfy the needs of any company, the HID iCLASS SE Cards line offers multiple configurations, and cards are available in 2K bit, 16K bit, and 32K bit variants. These cards can also be customized with different options, including a magnetic stripe, individual card numbering, or custom artwork. They are also Photo ID compatible, and can be directed printed on with a direct image or thermal transfer printer.

Constructed with thin, flexible, and resistant PVC or Composite material, SE cards are rated for a minimum life of 10 years or 100,000 write cycles. They are offered with a manufacturer's lifetime warranty.
