HID FlexSmart MIFARE/DESFire Cards
The FlexSmart series of credentials provide a range of contactless technologies in several form factors. These technologies include HID Prox, Indala Prox, MIFARE Classic and MIFARE DESFire EV1 and are often combined into a single credential. For instance, the FlexSmart 1431 card combines HID Prox technology for access control with the MIFARE technology used in contactless smart cards.
The form factors for these FlexSmart 13.56 MHz smart card credentials includes standard credit card sized cards, keyfobs and tags. Depending on the chosen form factor there are numerous anti-counterfeiting options that can be included, like custom graphics, holograms, barcodes, and even photo IDs.
Both MIFARE and DESFire FlexSmart credentials incorporate sophisticated programming flexibility with customizable formats as well as security keys that enable them to be used in legacy installations, while at the same time be perfectly integrated into state-of-the-art secure facilities. These multi-technology cards also allow you to adapt as your needs change or when migrating from technologies.

HID MIFARE cards were designed to be used for various applications such as campus applications, even ticketing, access control, cashless vending, and more. HID MIFARE base part numbers are:
- 1430: (MIFARE 1K) Standard PVC
- 1436: (MIFARE 1K) Composite PVC
- 1440: (MIFARE 4K) Standard PVC
- 1446: (MIFARE 4K) Composite PVC
HID FlexSmart MIFARE/HID Prox combo cards combine MIFARE contactless smart cards with the benefits of HID proximity technology. Available base part numbers are:
- 1431: MIFARE 1K Card and HID Prox PVC Card
- 1437: MIFARE 1K Card and HID Prox PET/PVC Card
- 1441: MIFARE 4K Card and HID Prox PVC Card
- 1447: MIFARE 1K Card and HID Prox PET/PVC Card
These keyfobs support HID FlexSmart 13.56 MHz MIFARE smart card technologies and are suited for environments where a high level of security is needed with access control, but a photo identification is unnecessary

HID MIFARE DESFire EV1 Credentials were designed to be used for a diverse set of applications that demand the highest level of security such as access control, biometric identification, cashless vending, public transportation, etc. HID MIFARE DESFire base part numbers are:
- 1450: DESFire EV1 PVC Cards
- 1456: DESFire EV1 PET/PVC Cards
- 1451: DESFire EV1 with HID Prox PVC Cards
- 1457: DESFire EV1 with HID Prox PET/PVC Cards
HID MIFARE Classic and MIFARE DESFire EV1 combo cards combine two contactless chips onto a single card. Base part numbers for available card configurations are:
- 272: MIFARE Classic 4K/MIFARE DESFire EV1 8K PVC Cards
- 282: MIFARE Classic 4K/MIFARE DESFire EV1 8K Composite Cards
- 283: MIFARE Classic 4K/MIFARE DESFire EV1 8K Composite Cards - Embeddable
HID FlexSmart MIFARE/Indala Prox combo cards combine HID MIFARE contactless smart technology with Indala proximity technology. Available base part numbers are:
- FPMXI: MIFARE 1K Card and Indala PVC Card
- FPMXX: MIFARE 1K Card and Indala PET/PVC Card
